This class includes an introduction to cardiopulmonary resuscitation for adult, children and infants. It will review heart health  and the risk factors for cardiovascular / cerebrovascular disease. During the class we will Identify signs and symptoms of a heart attack, stroke and choking. The class will offer demonstrations and explanations of the Heimlich Maneuver, and Abdominal Thrust. When you complete this course you will be able to:

Demonstrate and explain CPR for Adult, Child, and Infant victims

Understand Personal Protective Equipment (OSHA approved barrier devices) and 

Participate in skills practice - Students perform CPR methods on sanitized mannequins

This class is designed to teach basic First Aid and Emergency Care to attendees. The class includes:

First Aid Audio-Visual Presentation

Scene Survey, Rescuer Safety and Patient Assessments

Bleeding Control with demonstrations

Shock

Work with Burn victims (including thermal, chemical and electrical)

Head, Neck and Spine injuries (Musculoskeletal injuries)

Sudden illnesses (including Asthma, Diabetes, Anaphylaxis, Seizures and Strokes)

Poisoning (including ingested, Inhaled, Absorbed, Plants, Animals and Insects)

Heat/Cold Emergencies Nosebleed

Dental

Chest wounds
